How PET Bottle Pelletizing Works: From Waste to Recycled Granules
In the current era of advocating resource recycling and green development, the PET bottle plastic pelletizing machine has become a crucial piece of equipment in the field of plastic bottle recycling and reprocessing. With its efficient operation mode, it turns plastic bottles into pellets, specifically plastic bottle pellets, playing a significant role in promoting the sustainable development of the plastic industry.
Working Principle:
The working process of a plastic bottles pelletizing machine is a sophisticated procedure involving multiple closely coordinated stages. First, the collected waste plastic bottles need to undergo pretreatment. This stage includes manual sorting to remove impurities such as labels and caps attached to the plastic bottles. Subsequently, the plastic bottles are crushed into fragments by crushing equipment. These fragments are then washed to remove surface dirt, dust, etc., laying a foundation for subsequent processing.
The pretreated plastic bottle fragments enter the core stage of the PET bottle plastic pelletizing machine – melting and plasticizing. Inside the barrel of the pelletizing machine, the plastic fragments are heated above the melting point of PET (approximately 250 – 260°C) through electric heating or other heating methods, gradually melting them into a melt with good fluidity. The screw inside the barrel rotates continuously driven by the motor. The rotation of the screw not only pushes the plastic melt towards the outlet but also fully stirs and squeezes the melt, ensuring uniform heating and thorough mixing, thereby further enhancing its quality.
When the plastic melt reaches the front end of the barrel, it is extruded through a die with a specific shape, forming continuous plastic strips. These plastic strips then enter the cooling device, usually using water or air cooling methods, rapidly reducing the temperature of the plastic strips and solidifying them. Finally, the cooled plastic strips are cut into uniform plastic pellets for bottles by a granulator according to the set length. Throughout the entire process, all components work in tandem to achieve the efficient transformation from waste plastic bottles into recycled plastic pellets.
Applications:
Recycled plastic bottle pellets possess excellent physical and chemical properties, making the pellets produced by the PET bottle plastic pelletizing machine widely applicable. In the packaging industry, recycled plastic pellets for bottles are important raw materials for manufacturing packaging products such as plastic bottles, plastic boxes, and plastic films. These packaging products are widely used for packaging beverages, food, daily chemicals, and other products. They not only meet the packaging needs of products but also reduce the dependence on virgin plastics. In the textile industry, after special processing, recycled plastic bottle pellets can be made into polyester fibers, which are used to produce clothing, home textiles, carpets, etc., providing environmentally friendly and cost-effective raw materials for the textile industry. In addition, recycled plastic bottle pellets can also be used to produce engineering plastic products, such as electronic and electrical casings, automotive parts, etc., demonstrating strong application potential in multiple industrial fields.
Utilization:
In plastic recycling enterprises, the plastic bottles pelletizing machine is the core production equipment.
